Ikebana and the Four Seasons - further training
with Hazel Bercholz Sat August 21st: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM Price: $10 MembersIn Room(s): Main Shrine Room Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging) is part of the tradition of elegance at the core of the Shambhala Center.
This afternoon workshop offers current members of the Padma Ikebana arranging group the opportunity to share in creating that elegance by studying with trained ikebana teachers relating to the natural resources of each season. The workshop consists of taking a group walk outside of the Shambhala Center to gather available material and connect with the magic of the season before returning to the Center to work on ikebana arrangements.
Participants should bring their own clippers, both pruning shears and ikebana clippers, if they have them. The center has a limited number of clippers available to use.
Class size is limited to 12 participants.
If you are interested in joining Boston Shambhala Center's Padma Ikebana, please send an email to: info@shambhalaboston.org, stating your interest. Stay tuned for an introductory Ikebana workshop later in the fall. |
